In Memoriam: America Remembers
Yesterday, ten years ago was 9/11, a day, like Pearl Harbor, that will 'Live in infamy". Yesterday countless Americans watched the live tribute to the thousands of men, women and children who lost their lives. In the space of a few hours, Americans made decisions. They made the choice to rescue friends, co workers, heck, people they didn't even know. Firemen, members of the police forces, even bystanders plunged into the wreckage of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon to save innocent lives. But in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, no such help came. There was no way that the passengers of Flight 93 could have been saved as they plunged into the death spiral that sent them crashing to their destruction. But at the end, they stood strong. The called loved ones, telling them how much they loved them and saying goodbye. The people voted, making the decision to take a stand and regain control of the plane, to save more lives. For these things we will always remember the victims of 9/11. God bless America.
